Who is this for?
This program is good for anyone who wants a structured approach to achieve health and fitness goals including but not limited to weight loss. Although it has been used extensively by pro athletes, you do NOT have to be an athlete to use it to lose weight, get in better shape, sleep better at night, and enhance your mood and energy. Is this keto?
This is not keto! It's a balanced macros approach, which includes eating carbs! If you have a weight loss goal, you'll be eating at a very small caloric deficit (smaller than most weight loss programs) which means that you will most likely NOT experience extreme rapid weight loss, although you will definitely see positive changes in inches and weight if you follow the program faithfully for 4-6 weeks. (Many people notice changes sooner than that, but we ask that you follow the program closely for 4-6 weeks before drawing any conclusions about how it "works" for you.) This is is the opposite of yo-yo dieting, you won't go hungry, and it trains healthy habits for the long run.REGISTER
Why not [insert extreme diet here]?
We realize that there are a lot of ways to lose weight, and most of them work at least at first as long as you actually follow them. But there's a rub -- eating nothing but meat is in no way healthy and intermittent fasting can trigger disordered eating in some people if it isn't done in a structured way. Extreme caloric deficit might yield short-term results, but often results in "falling off the wagon" and regaining all the weight you lost plus more. REGISTER
I believe total health is more important than losing weight! I promote a structured approach because the Standard American Diet and Dieting Culture have strayed so far from balanced and healthy that most people could benefit from using tools and references to educate our tastes and habits. Most of us use concrete numbers and systems to inform good financial decisions and habits, and in this day and age we have the technology to do that with food too.
Finally, this moderate approach is indefinitely sustainable, and whether or not you choose to stick with it for the long haul, you will inevitably have developed habits that will serve you well.
What about dietary restrictions?
This program works with dietary restrictions. You'll have to work a little harder to get your protein and balance your nutrients if you're vegetarian or vegan, but it definitely can be done. Plus, there are filters in the app we provide to filter for dietary guidelines like gluten free, dairy free, pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan, etc, so finding meals to work with your specifications is easy.
